The primary responsibility of a Program Specialist is to Plan and implement a closely associated set of programs’ initiatives. The Programs Specialist participates in the generation of program resources and in the design and development of program operating goals, objectives, and protocols. He/ she serves as primary point of both internal and external representation and liaison with respect to program implementation and operational matters, and provides technical/professional and programmatic guidance, consultation, and support to client constituencies as appropriate.
SCOPE OF WORK
UAEU SIP Assist the UAEU SIP management in developing and executing a number of programs such as the UAEU SIP Industry Liaison Program, soft landing program, etc. in accordance with SIP mission and strategy. Plan and lead talent sourcing and placement for the SIP tenancy program Assist the management in developing the budget and operating plan for the UAEU SIP assigned programs and initiatives. Assist the SIP management in developing the business model for the assigned programs Assist the SIP management in developing a value proposition for the SIP tenants and partners by mapping the University internal intellectual resources and physical assets, creating packages of services and pricing them Conduct continuous mapping of the internal and external ecosystem to design and implement new initiatives and programs Develop an engagement plan for internal and external stakeholders to support implementation of the initiatives under the assigned programs Prepare a benchmarking study about best practices for the programs Assist the other programs’ coordinators and team members liaising with external partners and industry for the programs Support the Innovation Hub powered by Google through delivering trainings and providing coaching services to clients (startups, students, corporates, etc.) Provide advice and support to startups in the UAEU SIP tenancy program and guidance and orientation to participants enrolled in the UAEU SIP programs Maintain and update records of program information, details and outcomes to generate reports and statistical data Assist the SIP management in running the Pathfinders program whenever requested Support UAEU SIP cross-functional and operations team to plan and implement initiatives and events Other related tasks A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field A startup experience is desirable Proficiency in English and Arabic (oral and written)
